The present disclosure provides formulations of a 14-epi-analogues of vitamin D, being inecalcitol (19-nor-9,10-seco-14bHcholesta-, 5(Z),7(E)-dien-23-ino-1a,3b,25-triol-23-yne), with carboxymethylcellulose, providing improved absorption profile. the formulations show an improved absorption of inecalcitol over the formulation in medium chain triglyceride. The formulation is useful for the prevention and/or treatment of rickets, osteoporosis, osteomalacia, psoriasis, autoimmune diseases such as multiple sclerosis or type I diabetes, hyperparathyroidism, benign prostate hyperplasia, any type of cancer or any vitamin D associated disease.
