The present invention relates to a mat for promoting rootlets and a method for producing garden trees for transplantation. One purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for transplanting trees which are transplanted safely and are grown and developed healthily using a rootlet promoting mat. Other purpose of the present invention is to provide an environmentally friendly rootlet promoting mat which has inexpensive production costs, is constructed simply, and has a fertilization effect in the long term by minimizing the stress of the trees after transplantation, thereby minimizing defect ratios and creating completed landscape right after the transplantation. A method for transplanting trees using a mat for promoting rootlets of transplantation trees according to the present invention comprises: a step of vertically digging roots and soil to a diameter (c) which is reduced to a range of 10% to 30% with respect to a diameter (b) of the root-ball digging region after setting a root-ball digging region of the trees before one month to two years before transplanting trees; a step of installing a rootlet promoting mat (30) as long as a separated distance (d) of about 2 to 10 cm from the side surface of the dug roots, and filling vegetation soil between the rootlet promoting mat (30) and the side surface of the roots; a refilling step of refilling the dug soil in an outer covering of the installed rootlet promoting mat (30); and a transplanting step of transplanting trees along with the rootlet promoting mat (30) one month to two years after performing the refilling step.
