PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arc welding method for a hot-dip Zn-based plated steel sheet excellent in weld zone appearance and welding strength, and to provide a welding member.SOLUTION: An arc welding of a hot-dip Zn-based plated steel sheet is carried out under the following conditions: an average welding current of 100-350 A; an average welding voltage of 20-35 V; a pulse current waveform in which a current waveform repeats a peak current and a base current in a pulse period of 1-50 ms; the composition of a plating layer of the hot-dip Zn-based plated steel sheet having Zn as a main component and containing 1.0-22.0 mass% of Al; and a plating adherence amount W of 15-250 g/m.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
