PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basic pharmaceutical composition including pitavastatin having superior storage stability.SOLUTION: A pharmaceutical composition consists of pitavastatin or a salt thereof, a solvent or an ester, about 3-20 wt.% of magnesium oxide, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. An aqueous solution or dispersion of the pharmaceutical composition has pH of 10-10.8. The pharmaceutical composition may further include at least one material selected from the group consisting of a vehicle, a disintegrator, a binder and a lubricant. The pharmaceutical composition has superior time-dependent stability and causes no change in appearance even after storage for a long period of time.【課題】ピタバスタチンの安定した製剤の提供。【解決手段】ピタバスタチンまたはその塩、溶媒またはエステル、約３乃至約２０重量％の酸化マグネシウム、および、薬学的に許容可能な担体からなる医薬組成物。該医薬組成物の水溶液または水分散液は、１０～１０．８のｐＨを有する。また該医薬組成物は、賦形剤、崩壊薬、結合剤および潤滑剤からなる群から選択された少なくとも１つの材料をさらに含んでもよい。該医薬組成物は、優れた時間依存性の安定性を有し、長時間保存された後でもその外観を変化させない。【選択図】なし
