PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup module which can obtain a high picture quality image and can realize downsizing.SOLUTION: The image pickup module comprises: a pixel chip 31 including a light-receiving unit 311 for receiving light and converting it from light to electricity, the pixel chip 31 picking up the image of the subject and outputting it as a light quantity signal a signal processing chip 33 which performs for each set of pixel strings signal processing on the light quantity signal output by the pixel chip 31 and a flexible circuit board 32 consisting of a flexible insulation film, the flexible circuit board 32 having the pixel chip 31 and the signal processing chip 33 mounted thereon.
