Disclosed are a low power biological measuring device and a method of controlling a measuring signal amplification factor. The low power biological measuring device comprises: a sensor unit detecting a biological signal； a filter unit receiving the detected biological signal and filtering the biological signal； an amplification factor control unit outputting an amplification factor control signal by comparing DC baselines of the detected biological signal； an amplification unit receiving the filtered biological signal and amplifying the biological signal to correspond to the amplification factor control signal； a signal processing unit receiving the amplified biological signal and processing the biological signal using a diagnosis algorithm； and a power unit supplying power or blocking power in accordance with whether a pair of first and second contact terminals in the sensor unit are in contact with each other or submerged in the water. According to the present invention, the low power biological measuring device and the method of controlling a measuring signal amplification factor can remarkably increase the use time of a biological signal measuring device by remarkably reducing a duty cycle in a measured biological signal waveform and remarkably reducing the whole power to be consumed when the biological signal is measured, also can prevent power from being continuously consumed when the biological signal is not measured, and prevent a malfunction when the biological signal measuring device is submerged in the water.본 발명은 저전력 생체신호 측정기 및 측정 신호 증폭율 제어 방법을 공개한다. 이 장치는 생체신호를 감지하는 센서부； 상기 감지된 생체신호를 인가받아 필터링하는 필터부； 상기 감지된 생체신호의 직류 기저선(DC baseline)을 비교하여 증폭율 제어 신호를 출력하는 증폭율 제어부； 상기 필터링된 생체신호를 인가받아 상기 증폭율 제어 신호에 응답하여 증폭하는 증폭부； 상기 증폭된 생체신호를 인가받아 진단 알고리즘을 이용하여 생체신호를 처리하는 신호 처리부； 및 상기 센서부 내 제1 및 제2 접촉단자 쌍의 접촉여부 또는 침수 여부에 따라 측정기에 전원을 공급 또는 차단하는 전원부；를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 한다. 본 발명에 의할 경우, 측정되는 생체신호 파형의 듀티 싸이클을 현격하게 감소시키고, 생체신호 측정시 전체의 소모되는 전력을 현저하게 절감시킴으로써, 생체신호 측정기의 사용 시간을 획기적으로 증가시
