PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter excellent in safety and convenience that can prevent a balloon from being displaced from a narrow section when the balloon is expanded and deformed, and can apply sufficient pressurizing force to the narrow section through an expansion valid section.SOLUTION: A balloon 100 of a balloon catheter 10 is deformed so that an outer diameter of the maximum outer diameter part 121 in a tip side expansion part 120, and an outer diameter of the maximum outer diameter part 131 in a base end side expansion part 130 are larger than an outer diameter of each part of an expansion valid part 110 until it reaches regulation expansion pressure P1, and, when the balloon reaches the regulation expansion pressure, it is deformed so that the outer diameter of each part of the expansion valid part is equal to or larger than the outer diameter of the maximum outer diameter part in the tip side expansion part, and the outer diameter of the maximum outer diameter part in the base end side expansion part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT【課題】バルーンが拡張変形した際に狭窄部から位置ずれするのを防止し、さらに、拡張有効部を介して狭窄部に対して十分な加圧力を付与することが可能な安全性および利便性に優れるバルーンカテーテルを提供する。【解決手段】バルーンカテーテル10が備えるバルーン100は、規定拡張圧P1に達するまでは、拡張有効部110の各部の外径よりも先端側拡張部120の最大外径部121の外径および基端側拡張部130の最大外径部131の外径が大きくなるように変形し、規定拡張圧に達すると、拡張有効部の各部の外径が先端側拡張部の最大外径部の外径および基端側拡張部の最大外径部の外径と同径または同径以上に変形する。【選択図】図3
