The present invention relates to a roof greening apparatus for hydroponics which comprises the following: a culturing tank for mounting a medium and planting plants； drain holes installed on the bottommost side of the culturing tank for passing through water and air except for the medium； a nutrient solution tank located on the lower side of the culturing tank； a liquid supplying pipe supplying a nutrient solution to the nutrient solution tank from the outside； a floating valve installed on the ned of the liquid supplying pipe inside the nutrient solution tank for maintaining the uniform water level of the nutrient solution inside the nutrient solution tank； a wick inserted into the medium inside the culturing tank, passing through the lower side of the culturing tank, and connected to the nutrient solution of the nutrient solution tank； and a wick guiding unit formed into an upside-down U shape for preventing rainwater or roots of the plant from inserting into the nutrient solution tank by storing the wick, and having the lower side integrated to the bottom of the culturing tank.본 발명의 수경재배를 이용한 옥상녹화장치는, 배지가 안치되고 식물이 식재되는 재배조와, 재배조의 측면 최하단에 수개가 구비되며 배지는 통과시키지 않지만 물과 공기는 통과시키는 배수구멍과, 재배조의 하단에 구비되는 양액조와, 외부에서 양액조에 양액을 공급하는 급액배관과, 양액조 내부의 급액배관 끝부분에 설치되어 양액조의 양액 수위를 일정하게 유지하는 플로팅밸브와, 재배조의 배지에 삽입되며 재배조의 하단을 통과하여 양액조의 배양액에 연결되는 심지와, 심지를 수용하여 빗물이나 식물의 뿌리가 심지를 타고 양액조로 들어가는 것을 막도록 상단이 뒤집어진 ‘U'자 모양으로 형성되며 하단이 재배조 바닥에 일체화되어 형성되는 심지유도부를 갖는다.본 발명에 의하면, 비가 많이 와도 재배조가 넘치거나 양액이 희석되지 않아 양액의 농도가 일정하게 유지되며, 빗물이 배지를 거쳐 재배조 측면의 배수구멍을 통하여 배수됨으로써 배지의 염류집적을 해소할 수 있으며, 옥상의 햇볕과 적절한 농도의 양액을 지속적으로 공급함으로써 식물의 성장에 최적의 조건을 제공할 수 있다.따라서 장치의 크기는 크지 않지만 식물이 빨리 자라면서 필요한 만큼 수분과 영양분을 지속적으로 공급해 줄 수 있으므로 토마토, 호박, 담쟁이넝쿨 등 크기가 크거나 뻗어나가는 식물을 키울 수 있어 옥상의 넓은 면적을 녹화할 수 있다. 또한 호박 등 일년생 식물을 식재하더라도 봄에 일찍 자란 모종을 심으면 가장 더운 7~8월에 가장 크게 자라기 때문에 더운 여름에 옥상의 햇볕을 차단하고 증산작용을 일으켜 건물의 온도를 낮추어 주는 옥상녹화 본래의 취지에 충실할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 그리고 장치의 무게가 가볍기 때문에 최대허용하중이 크지 않은 오래된 건물이나 소규모 거주용 건물 옥상에도 설치가 가능하여 설치할 수 있는 건물의 범위가 매우 넓어진다는
