The gear has a pressure relief valve (42, 44) arranged at a working line (18, 20) that is attached with a working cylinder (10). The working cylinder is transferred to a gear with different efficiencies by cylinder force, where working pressure of the working cylinder is controlled based on the efficiency. The work cylinder comprises two pressure chambers (14, 16), where working pressure is applied for each pressure chamber. Different efficiencies of different angles of incidence (A) between the working cylinder and a steering wheel are determined. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a lifting gear of a mobile working machine.
