The nonwoven fabric for skin covering sheets to be impregnated with cosmetic preparations comprises one or more layers of cellulosic mixed fibers. The one or more layers of cellulosic mixed fibers each comprise 50 mass% or more first cellulosic fibers having a length of 20-110 mm and 8-40 mass% heat-bondable fibers, at least some of the intersections of the constituent fibers having been heat-bonded by the heat-bondable fibers. The nonwoven fabric has an overall basis weight of 25-48 g/m2. The nonwoven fabric as a whole has a content of the first cellulosic fibers of 40.5 mass% or higher and a content of the heat-bondable fibers of 8 mass% or higher.
