The present invention relates to a fishing reel with a side cover capable of being open for attaching a spool and, more specifically, to the fishing reel with the quick-opening side cover which introduces the side cover capable of being opened by moving a locker by handling the locker and prevents the side cover from being opened in the middle of fishing by enabling a fisher close the side cover by maintaining the protruding state of a grip of the locker. The fishing reel with the quick-opening side cover includes a frame； a shaft mounted on the frame； the spool which is formed on the shaft and on which a fishing gut is wound； a first side cover which is formed on the lateral surface of the frame and which can be opened for separating the spool； a mounting unit which is formed on the first side cover and which includes a locking unit and a retractable port； a locking rod which moves back and forth along the retractable port of the mounting unit； the locker which is connected to the locking rod and which includes a locking body which is joined to the locking unit when the first side cover is open； a locking hole which is joined to the end of the locking rod and formed on the frame； and an elastic member which is joined to apply an elastic force to a direction where the locking rod of the locker is joined to the locking hole.
