PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a cosmetic for eyelashes imparting a volume to the eyelashes, sustaining curls of the curled up eyelashes and having excellent usability.SOLUTION: This cosmetic for the eyelashes comprises an aqueous medium as a continuous phase and is characterized in that hydrophobic porous powder such as hydrophobic porous silica obtained by subjecting porous silica to a hydrophobization treatment is preferably formulated with a film-forming agent such as a resin emulsion.
