A composition comprising retinol, a precursor or reaction product thereof and a plant extract of at least one chamomile plant for the treatment of cancer. The invention relates to (i) Vitamin A, a reaction product, a metabolite or a precursor thereof and (ii) Chamomile plant extract or an active component thereof, preferably for use in the treatment of cancer. The composition of the invention may be provided as a medicament or as a pharmaceutical composition. at least one chamomile plant typically contained in the compositions of the invention preferably comprises recutite matricaria, more preferably recutite matricaria tubiformis flowers.
