PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetation protection device and a vegetation protection structure in which plants in the vegetation area are protected more stably from feeding damage by wild animals under an outdoor environment, and a more compact configuration can be taken.SOLUTION: A vegetation protection device 100 of the present invention is disposed on a vegetation area G and protects vegetation plants P. The vegetation protection device 100 includes a protector 101 comprising rigid multiple metal wire 101a twisted in a zigzag shape. The multiple metal wire 101a is juxtaposed in the length direction of the protector 101 and knitted together in a diamond wire mesh shape. The multiple metal wire 101a is displaceable in the length direction of the protector 101 so as to come close or be separated from each other. Then, ridges 101b are formed which are juxtaposed in the width direction of the protector 101 and extended along the length direction of the protector 101.
