PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for temperature of a patient.SOLUTION: A system includes a heat exchange catheter line assembly (10 and/or 16, 18) configured to convey working fluid circulating to and from at least one heat exchange element in an intravascular heat exchange catheter (10) and a working fluid circulating from at least one heat exchange element. The system also includes a heat exchange system that itself includes a processor (30) and is configured for fluidly communicating with the heat exchange catheter line assemblies (16, 18) to exchange heat with the working fluid. An NFC (Nera Field Communication) member (28) associated with the heat exchange system and a NFC element (24) associated with heat exchange catheter line assemblies (16, 18) are also included.
