Provided is a dentifrice composition which has excellent dental caries preventive effect by improving the uptake of fluoride ions into tooth enamel or dentin and improving acid resistance.A dentifrice composition comprising the following components (A), (B), (C) and (D):(A) from 0.002 to 5% by mass of a fluoride ion supplying compound in terms of fluorine,(B) from 25 to 65% by mass of a sugar alcohol, which is dissolved in an amount of 5 to 30 g in 100 g of an aqueous solution at 20° C.,(C) from 10 to 25% by mass of water, and(D) from 0.1 to 1.2% by mass of a binder, wherein the mass ratio of the component (B) to the component (C), the mass ratio (B/C), is more than 1 and 6 or less.
