Said teat (2) comprises a shaft (4) that is adjacent to the shield (3) and solid in cross-section in the region that contacts the jaw or teeth. A teat element (5) connects to an end section (8) of the shaft (4) that is opposite the shield (3) such that the contour of the teat (2) starting from the shaft (4) is lobe-shaped corresponding substantially to known hollow body dummies. The teat element (5) is a substantially annular, convex, hollow teat body (9, 12). The longitudinal axis (10) of the annular teat body (9) is substantially perpendicular to the longitudinally extending axis (11) of the teat (2). According to the invention, in order to form a cavity, the hollow teat body (9, 12) is substantially sealed on all sides.
