PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the concentration of superabsorbent polymer material particles supplied to a melt blown fiber layer. An apparatus for forming a composite web of absorbent pads for absorbent articles such as diapers, for supplying an extrusion means 3 for extruding a thermoplastic material and a superabsorbent polymer material 10. The suction forming surface 7 receives the filament 5 of the superabsorbable polymer material discharged from one or more supply ports 4 of the extrusion means, and the superabsorbent polymer coming out of the supply means. It is configured to accept the material and create a composite meltblown web containing the superabsorbable polymer material, the supply means being at least one outlet 11 for feeding the superabsorbent polymer material, in the composite web 8. It has an outlet configured to be movable at least from the first distance d1 to the second distance and vice versa with respect to the supply port of the extrusion means so as to vary the concentration of the superabsorbent polymer material.
