The invention relates to the use of preparations enriched with anti LPS antibodies, such as those derived from mammalian colostrum or avian eggs, and optionally further antibodies against disease-associated antigens, colostrums, milk or milk product component/s and any adjuvants for treating, delaying or preventing the progression of a pathologic disorder such as chronic liver disease, cirrhosis and any complication or disorder associated therewith.
