A method is described for estimating a location of an ingestible transmitting capsule, the method comprising receiving, at a plurality of antenna elements, a signal transmitted by said capsule measuring a strength of the signal received at each of the plurality of antenna elements excluding signal information from antenna elements providing weak signals and using the strongest group of signals to calculate a location estimate for the capsule.
