PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical agent having prophylactic effects on an initial onset of post-stroke reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD).SOLUTION: There is provided an agent for preventing the onset of post-stroke RSD including a natural calcitonin such as chicken calcitonin, eel calcitonin, human calcitonin and porcine calcitonin or a calcitonin derivative as an active ingredient.
