PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective sheath capable of simplifying the work to detach it from a distal end portion of an elongated object body.SOLUTION: The protective sheath 30 is used to protect a balloon 20 as a member to be protected that is provided on the distal end portion 11 of a balloon catheter 10 as an elongated object by covering the distal end portion 11.
