The device has supporting legs (4) locked by locking elements in stopping and non-stopping positions. The supporting legs are swivelable around a swiveling axle that runs in a driving direction (5) between the positions. The locking elements are designed such that the supporting legs used in the stopping position are locked by relative motion in an upright direction between three point mounting machines e.g. centrifugal manure distributor. The supporting legs are arranged in a lateral area of the machines at a frame (2) by a joint arrangement.
