PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable absorbent article which quickly absorbs excrement of a high viscosity such as watery stool.SOLUTION: The skin contact side surface of a surface sheet 30 consisting of a non-woven fabric is formed into an uneven shape. The surface sheet 30 and an intermediate sheet 40 consisting of a non-woven fabric having a large number of pores are bonded at a position equivalent to the recess section of the surface sheet 30. The average fiber density of the intermediate sheet 40 is made higher than that of the surface sheet 30, and also, the intermediate sheet 40 is made into one of which water absorbing capacity is higher than that of the surface sheet 30.
