PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant cultivation apparatus which enables a plant to be efficiently cultivated using the plant-inherent circadian rhythms which the plant has, and to provide a plant cultivation method.SOLUTION: The plant cultivation apparatus includes: a housing body 11 having a cultivation space 13 for storing a plant a light source 12 provided at the upper part of the housing body 11 for emitting cultivation light required for the growth of the plant stored in the cultivation space 13 a light source controller 21 for switching the light source 12 a computer 20 for controlling the light source controller 21 a keyboard 30 as input means for setting light-dark cycles a memory unit 22 as storage means for storing the light-dark cycles set via the keyboard 30 and a display 40 as indication means for indicating temperature and humidity in the cultivation space 13.
