PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for endoscopes which makes a large-sized light control system available and has a small loss of light.
SOLUTION: The light source device consists of a first group of lenses to converge beam from a lamp as a light source, a second group of lenses for condensing the beam converged by the first lens group and then dispersing to a light guide after it passes the point of condensation, and a light control system placed between these first and second lens groups.
