PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyclodextrin derivative improving feeling after cleaning or touch of hair when blended with hair or skin cleaner, further capable of reducing discomfort odor during cleaning or decoration by removing or packaging odor materials, a composition of an aqueous cosmetic or the like with the derivative blended and a manufacturing method therefor.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a mixture containing hydroxyalkyl cyclodextrin alkenylsuccinic ester obtained by reacting 1,2-alkylene oxide or 1-halogeno-2-hydroxyalkane with cyclodextrin under an alkali condition and then reacting alkenyl succinic anhydride with the same.
