Disclosed herein are methods of treating a subject by an immunotherapy in combination with a low-dose of TNF-a or an LT receptor agonist as well as methods of identifying a cancer patient as having an increased or a reduced likelihood of responding to an immunotherapy by detection of TP53 gene status, in isolation, or in combination with assays for determining the levels of MHC-I and TP53 target genes.
