PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective colon cancer therapeutic agent.SOLUTION: The invention provides a colon cancer therapeutic agent or a method of collecting data for evaluating the risk of onset or recurrence of colon cancer by finding that (1) the proliferation of colon cancer cell line is suppressed, (2) the apoptosis of colon cancer cell line is induced, and (3) the motor function of colon cancer cell is suppressed by administering a silencing substance of FAM83H protein, such as siRNA to FAM83H known as a protein involved in tooth enamel formation, or a functional inhibitor of FAM83H protein, such as an anti-FAM83H protein antibody.【課題】効果的な大腸癌治療剤を提供すること。【解決手段】歯のエナメル形成に関与するタンパク質として知られているＦＡＭ８３Ｈに対するｓｉＲＮＡ等のＦＡＭ８３Ｈタンパク質の発現抑制物質や、抗ＦＡＭ８３Ｈタンパク質抗体等のＦＡＭ８３Ｈタンパク質の機能阻害物質を投与することにより、（１）大腸癌細胞株の増殖が抑制されること（２）大腸癌細胞株のアポトーシスが誘導されること、（３）大腸癌細胞の運動機能を抑制することを見いだし、大腸癌治療剤、又は大腸癌発症・再発のリスクを評価するためのデータを収集する方法を提供する。【選択図】なし
