PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a root crop harvester having a conveyor with a structure which hardly causes failures or the like due to conveyed sand since biting sand causes detachment of a chain or damage to component members of a transmission system due to overload when the sand around crops is conveyed with the crops to a subsequent process by a pullout conveyor, and the sand is caught in a gap between a sprocket and the chain of each conveyor.SOLUTION: A conveyer (87) includes a pair of driving rotating bodies (79, 79) by which a conveying passage of crops is sandwiched, driven rotating bodies (81, 81), and transmission endless belts (82, 82). In a root crop harvester, one driving output shaft (79a) where the driving rotating bodies (79, 79) are mounted is arranged on a downstream side in a conveyance direction rather than a conveyance beginning end part of the conveyor (87).COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT【課題】引抜搬送装置により作物の周囲の土砂を作物と共に後工程に搬送し、この土砂が各搬送装置のスプロケットとチェーンの隙間に入り込むと、土砂の噛み込みによるチェーンの脱落や、過負荷による伝動系の構成部材の破損が生じるという問題がある。よって搬送された土砂に対して故障等を生じにくい構成の搬送装置を備えた根菜類収穫機を提供することが、本発明が解決しようとする課題である。【解決手段】搬送装置(87)には、作物の搬送経路を挟む一対の駆動回転体(79、79)と、従動回転体(81、81)と、伝動無端帯(82、82)と、を設け、駆動回転体(79、79)を装着した一の駆動出力軸(79a)を、搬送装置(87)の搬送始端部よりも搬送方向の下手側に配置したことを特徴とする根菜類収穫機により上記問題を解決した。【選択図】図7
