PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrist-type blood pressure measurement instrument capable of measuring blood pressure values with higher accuracy.SOLUTION: A CPU 20 of a blood pressure measurement instrument 1 attached to a wrist of a person to be measured calculates an inclination angle θ1 which the forearm F of the person to be measured forms with a reference plane and a rotation angle θ2 of the blood pressure measurement instrument 1 around the forearm F taken as an axis from detection information acquired by an acceleration sensor 17, and determines a relative positional relationship between the radial artery and the ulnar artery both passing through the wrist by using the distance d between the radial artery and the ulnar artery, the inclination angle θ1, and the rotation angle θ2.
