A method and an apparatus for laying and/or fixing cover material, such as a fibre web or plastic film, on a cultivated area, where an apparatus is propelled in a direction of movement, where the apparatus has a first side and a second side, where the apparatus while moving act on cultivation medium, typically soil, such that a groove is formed in parallel with the direction of movement near the first side of the apparatus, where an edge of the cover material is moved down into the groove, and which is peculiar in that an edge of the cover material is forced down into the groove during movement of the apparatus such that the cover material lies over the cultivated area and extending away from the apparatus, and that the apparatus brings the removed soil entirely or partially back into the groove, preferably upon the edge, for fixing the cover material.L'invention divulgue un procédé et un appareil pour la pose et/ou la fixation d'un matériau de revêtement, comme un voile de fibres ou un film plastique, sur une surface cultivée, où un appareil est propulsé dans une direction de mouvement, où l'appareil a un premier côté et un second côté, où l'appareil tout en se déplaçant agit sur le milieu de culture, typiquement le sol, de telle sorte qu'une gorge est formée en parallèle à la direction du mouvement près du premier côté de l'appareil, où un bord du matériau de revêtement est déplacé dans la gorge et qui est de caractère spécial en ce qu'un bord du matériau de revêtement est forcé à s'insérer dans la gorge durant le mouvement de l'appareil de telle sorte que le matériau de revêtement repose sur la surface cultivée et s'étend à partir de l'appareil et que l'appareil ramène entièrement ou partiellement le sol enlevé dans la gorge, de préférence sur le bord, pour fixer le matériau de revêtement.
