The present invention relates to an abdominal support for protecting the waist. The abdominal support includes: a waist support unit (101) divided to and coupled as two division units (102, 102&prime) left and right band units (110) which are extended in the side directions to surround the waist from both ends of the waist support unit and are detachably coupled together and a pulling string (115) which fastens the support units together through loops arranged on ends of the waist support units divided and arranged to face each other. A connection unit (103) is arranged on each facing end of the division units (102, 102&prime) arranged to face each other. The connection unit (103) has a holder (106) fixed on a plastic plate (105) while being arranged at regular intervals. The holder (106) is sewn and fixed to an end of the plastic plate while partially protruding from the end. The loops (108,108&prime) for the pulling string (115) are arranged on the holder. Accordingly, the pulling string pulls through the loops on the ends of the division units to fasten the division units closely without overlapping or twisting the division units, thereby reliably supporting, pressuring, and protecting the spine. A protection pad detachably attached to the rear surface of the division units can reliably support the spine.
