The inserter has a spring (3) arranged between a piston (1) and a releaser (4) i.e. button. A needle (10) is fixed to a support (2). The piston is mounted in a housing (5), so that the piston reaches and remains temporarily in a position and in another position when the piston is released from the trigger. The needle and the support are arranged so as to be driven by the piston along a main orientation direction (12) of the housing before the piston reaches the former position and to carry out a rotation around the direction during the transition between the positions. An independent claim is also included for an inserter and cannula assembly.
