A first pattern of adhesive is applied to the central section of a garment facing surface of the backsheet. The first pattern of adhesive has a first plurality of stripes extending substantially parallel to the transverse axis on a first side of the central longitudinal axis. A second plurality of stripes extends substantially parallel to the transverse axis on a second side of the central longitudinal axis.
