An antioxidant composition for reducing oxidative stress in subjects undergoing treatment with hormonal contraceptives is described. In particular, said composition has been shown to be particularly suitable since, as well as having surprising efficacy, it is extremely well tolerated by the body since it comprises natural components such as proanthocyanidins (PAN), selenium yeast, alpha-lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, alpha-tocopherol, and vitamin B6.
