PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foul breath inhibitor and an oral cavity composition for foul breath inhibition, excellent in foul breath preventing effect and foul breath suppressing effect and excellent in sustainability of the effects.
SOLUTION: There are provided a foul breath inhibitor comprising (A) Lamiaceae plants selected from rosemary, sage, thyme, marjoram, melissa, perilla, oregano, basil and Elsholtzia ciliata, or extracts thereof, and (B) seeds of Japanese pepper or extracts thereof, and an oral cavity composition for foul breath inhibition provided by compounded with the foul breath inhibitor (except oral cavity patch). The foul breath inhibitor can obtain combined effects of malodor capture by the Lamiaceae plants or extracts thereof with malodor-causing bacteria metabolism inhibition by seeds of Rutaceae Zanthoxylum plant or extracts thereof, has excellent foul breath-suppressing effects and is excellent in quick action and sustainability. Further, by compounding one or more selected from a Sterculiaceae Cola plant and extracts thereof, menthol and derivatives thereof, sweeteners and perfumes, a taste-improved foul breath preventing agent can be provided.
