A reservoir (18) of the anaesthetic vaporiser is adapted to hold a supply of liquid anaesthetic agent. A plurality of channels (7) are connected to define a path for carrier gas being passed through the wick assembly (1) of the vaporiser. Each channel is provided with a wick (3) extending into the reservoir so as to permit flow of liquid anaesthetic agent from the reservoir, via the wick, to the carrier gas.
