Carbohydrate antigens are a common feature of cancer cells and pathogens,such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV).Carbohydratescannot activate helper T-cells and have poor immunogenicity. This inventionprovides a novelglycolipopeptide to generate antibodies to carbohydrate antigens. Theglycolipopetideincludes at least one B-epitope, at least one T-epitope, and a lipidcomponent. The inventionalso includes a method for making the glycolipopeptide of the invention. Theinvention alsoprovides a polyclonal or monoclonal antibody against the glyeolipopetitde ofthe invention.The invention also includes a pharmaceutical composition including theglycolipopeptide.
