An introducer sheath (400) for endoluminally delivering surgical implements to a treatment site, said introducer sheath comprising a tubular member (405) having generally opposite first and second ends, the tubular member defining a longitudinally extending lumen, the tubular member having a wall and a reinforcement member (410) for reinforcing the wall, wherein the reinforcement member is separable from the wall and removable in-situ through one of the first and second ends of the tubular member, and wherein the wall remains intact upon separation of the reinforcement member therefrom.
