A lure (10) for fishing that has a main body made of a buoyant material simulating a bait fish is described, to which at least one fishhook is fastened. Provided in the head region of the basic body are a fastening eye (11, 21) for connecting to a fishing line or a leader (15), and a paddle-like protrusion (12, 22). When the lure (10) is being used in the water, the protrusion (12, 22) is formed obliquely upwards and the fastening eye (11, 21) is arranged beneath the protrusion (12, 22). Preferably, a weight insert (13, 23) for defining buoyancy and for stabilizing the position in the water is provided in the main body. Furthermore, a system made up of such a lure (10), a main weight (14) and a fishing line connected to a fishing rod is described.
