PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an intraocular lens, in which the generation of glistening generated at the manufacturing of the intraocular lens by mold processing is suppressed, and by which the intraocular lens high in accuracy can be obtained, and to provide the intraocular lens obtained by the method.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the intraocular lens using a prescribed molding mold comprises: a first step for using a base material of the intraocular lens which is obtained after the polymerization of a polymerizable monomer as a core material which is small in shape than a molding mold, that is, a step for obtaining the base material of the intraocular lens by making it polymerized with the polymerizable monomer being a raw material of the base material of the intraocular lens a second step for obtaining an immersed core material by immersing the polymerizable monomer into the core material which is obtained in the first step and a third step for re-polymerizing the immersed core material obtained in the second step and the polymerizable monomer in a state that they are made to coexist in the molding mold.
