PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine whether a driver is in a careless state by using a change of an expression on the drivers face.SOLUTION: As a result of an actual driving test, knowledge has been obtained that when a driver becomes in a careless state, a specific area of his/her face (for example, an area around a mouth) changes temporarily, and a duration time of this temporarily change is long and the number of times of occurrence of the temporarily change within a predetermined cycle increases. On the basis of this knowledge, it is determined that the driver J is in a careless state when the temporarily change of the specific area of the face lasts for a predetermined time or more and the number of times of the temporary change within the predetermined cycle is equal to or greater than a predetermined number of times.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】運転者の顔の表情の変化を利用して、運転者が漫然状態であるか否かを精度よく判定できるようにする。 【解決手段】実際の走行試験の結果、運転者が漫然状態になると、顔の特定部位(例えば口周り)が一時的に変化すると共に、この一時的な変化の継続時間が長くなったり、一時的な変化の所定周期内での発生回数が増大する、という知見が得られた。この知見に基づき、顔の特定部位の一時的な変化が所定時間以上継続しているとき、一時的な変化の所定周期内での回数が所定回数以上であるときに、運転者Jが漫然状態であると判定される。【選択図】 図2
