A water-absorbent resin composition comprising a water-absorbent resin, an oxygen-containing reducing inorganic salt, an aminocarboxylic acid-based metal chelating agent and an organic antioxidant an absorbent comprising the above-mentioned water-absorbent resin composition and a hydrophilic fiber and an absorbent article comprising the above-mentioned absorbent interposed between a liquid-permeable sheet and a liquid-impermeable sheet. The water-absorbent resin composition of the present invention is used in absorbent articles such as disposable diaper, sanitary napkin, and the like.
