PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clinical thermometer that facilitates sanitary management and is advantageous in cost.SOLUTION: The electronic clinical thermometer comprises: a main body section having a control section which performs detection processing for body temperature and a display part for displaying the measured body temperature； and an insert section which can be inserted into the main body part 101, and has a thermistor housed in one end abutting against a body temperature measurement domain of a subject and a joint part joined to the main body part at the other end, and also house an information holding part holding information showing temperature characteristics of the thermistor. An electrode which electrically connects the thermistor and information holding part to the control part in the main body when the main body part 101 and the insert part 103 are jointed together is provided at the joint region between the main body part 101 and the insert part 103.【課題】 衛生上の管理が容易で、しかもコスト面でも有利な電子体温計を提供する。【解決手段】 電子体温計は、体温の検出処理を実行するための制御部、並びに、測定した体温を表示する表示部を有する本体部１０１と、本体部１０１に対して脱着自在であって、被検者の体温測定部位に当接する一方の端部にはサーミスタを収納し、もう一方の端部には本体部と接合する接合部を有すると共に、サーミスタの温度特性を示す情報を保持する情報保持部を収納した挿入部とで構成され、本体部１０１及び挿入部１０３それぞれの接合部位は、互いに接合した際に、サーミスタ及び情報保持部を本体内の制御部に電気的に接続する電極が設けられている。【選択図】 図１
