The invention solves the problem of chemical fruit thinning in order to regulate the productivity and fruit size without decline in fruit quality. In the available literature it has not been reported so far that naphthenic acids may cause abscission of young apple fruit, nor can enhance the growth of the remaining fruit on the trees, but it is known to exhibit the physiological activity analogue to plant hormones of auxin type. The core of invention consists in fact that application of BA solution with the addition of naphthenic acid for thinning apples results in higher average fruit weight compared to treatments with BA without naphthenic acids. It can be concluded that BA solution with the addition of naphthenic acid has the same efficacy as BA applied alone. At the same time, BA solution with the addition of naphthenic acid positively affects the fruit firmness. To investigate the effectiveness of products based on BA with the addition of naphthenic acids for chemical thinning of apple fruits, a concentrated solution containing 4% BA and 0,355 g/1 naphthenic acids was used, which have to be diluted prior application to the appropriate final concentration depending on the intensity of fruit set and apple cultivar.Pronalazak rešava problem hemijskog proređivanja plodova sa ciljem regulisanja visine prinosa i povećanja krupnoće plodova uz očuvanje visokog kvaliteta. U do sada raspoloživoj literaturi nije poznato da naftenske kiseline mogu izazvati opadanje mladih plodova jabuke, niti da mogu pospešiti rast preostalih plodova na stablima, iako je poznato da pokazuju fiziološku aktivnost analognu biljnim hormonima tipa auksina. Suština pronalaska sastoji se u tome da se primenom rastvora BA sa dodatkom naftenskih kiselina za proređivanje plodova jabuke kao krajnji rezultat postiže veća prosečna masa ploda u odnosu na tretmane sa BA bez naftenskih kiselina. Može se zaključiti da formulacija sa dodatim naftenskim kiselinama proređuje plodove sorte jabuke zlatni delišes
