The staple cartridge assembly (40) drives the cutter (45) and the first jaw to move relative to each other by means of the driving mechanism (50) so that the limiting portion (432) and the safe portion (453) abut against each other, thereby limiting the continuous movement of the cutter (45) to the distal end of the staple cartridge assembly (40). The doctor can be effectively prevented from closing an instrument without replacing the fired staple cartridge assembly (40), thereby avoiding medical accidents or causing damage to normal tissues.
