The rotatable gantry part is configured to rotate about an axis of rotation of a computed tomography system. The apparatus includes a first support ring arranged on the rotatable gantry part, and a second support ring arranged on the fixed gantry part. The first support ring and the second support ring are rotationally symmetrical and L-shaped in cross-section.
