A tissue support device and method of use are provided. The device includes an anchor element having a plate-like element and first and second sidewalls extending upward from the plate-like element. The plate-like element is defined by a leading edge and a trailing edge and a first side edge and a second side edge, the trailing edge being longer than the leading edge. The first sidewall and the second sidewall are such that the distance between the first sidewall and the second sidewall on the front side is shorter than the distance between the first sidewall and the second sidewall on the rear side. And substantially aligned along at least a portion of the first side edge and the second side edge of the plate-like element. The device also includes a soft tissue support element that is adapted to engage and support the soft tissue.
