Sodium ibuprofen compositions and methods of manufacturingtablets and caplets comprising sodium ibuprofen are described. Theformulation is advantageous because it allows for the formation of tabletshaving low sodium content and further provides tablets exhibiting improvedphysical stability, high tablet hardness and high strength, coupledwith excellent dissolution and bioavailability characteristics. Theformulationsand processes are further advantageous because they can be producedin large quantities without an unacceptable number of defectivetablets.
